Ladies~ When we, personally, make things happen in our own will, with our own limited insight, tainted with our natural inclinations, driven by our own passions, and brought forth in our own best representation … it intrudes on holiness, it stifles love, it bypasses faith, feeds our pride, snuffs our candle light (though it be set on a hill), perverts the truth, blinds our view, deceives our hearts, fulfills our appetites, and diverts the attention and glory away from Jesus. Let us be humble and yielded to the Spirit not the flesh. “But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Sprit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other to keep you from doing the things you want to do” (Gal. 5:16-17). “If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another” (Gal. 5:25-26).
