Ladies and Gentleman it is time now to send your messages straight to the MRA regarding this development. Help us convince the MRA to help to buy some time to the stallholders from this development we have 21 days to do so.Help us by writing to them everyday !!! The MRA are calling for submissions from the public regarding the Station Street Market site. See Subi Centro on this link to the notices: Template of letter : I write with reference to the proposal for the development of the Station Street Markets. I hope that the Council will consider the following: Timing I object to the requirement that market tenants vacate the site before Christmas 2014. This is unreasonably short notice at which tenants should be obliged to find alternate premises and would cause significant financial hardship for most of them. I request that in their consideration of the proposal, Council suggest to the owners/developer that tenants be permitted to stay on at the Station Street site until the development process, if approved, reaches a later stage. Possible Relocation I request that the Council continue seek and to consider suggestions of, possible alternative sites for the markets within the City of Subiaco. Heritage I believe that the Station Street Markets have heritage value. I suggest that the owners of the property be required to provide a heritage report and that the tenants of the property are given the opportunity to provide one conducted by a Heritage Consultant of their choice. Planning Compliance I suggest that before the redevelopment proposal is formally considered or approved, tenants, Market customers and Subiaco residents be given the opportunity to view the owner/developers statement addressing compliance with the criteria required under relevant Town Planning Schemes and RDC. I have sent a letter to the CEO of the MRA, outlining the above and requesting consideration. I would appreciate your reply. Yours faithfully, Visit bit.do/subiaco-market
