Lady update 11/2/14: Lady has been with us for about a month now. Dawn Fletcher worked on her bright and early this morning and explained she has several huge issues going on like broken pelvis which we suspected along with fused pasterns and a lot of severe arthritis and old injuries from years of being a loyal show and lesson horse. Dawn and I feel there must have been a huge traumatic event a long time ago to cause some of this but all and all a lot of wear and tear over time as well. She really has adapted to her injuries but she will need to permanently be on previcox as we can not change the past we can only do our best to manage the comfort level of her future and Dawn made sure to explain to me she feels her comfort level is better than I think and she is doing well with me so far and very happy (hope shes not trying to make me feel better lol) Also she has limited movement on just about every joint and muscle so I decided to throw her in w the minis so she is not pushed around to much by her current crew plus there stall is the softest always bedded w lots of shavings she is so happy with them its adorable ....I love it when a plan comes together lol even Opal likes her and she hates big horses, caught them scratching backs earlier it was so sweet but of course did not have my phone w me at the time so missed the photo opp lol. I sure do love these special mares but Lady has got a hold of my heart so fast she is so amazingly sweet and patient and I wish I could erase her past and take all her pain away
