Lagos Listed As 4th WorstCity To Live In … The Economist Intelligence Unitas theyoften do, have come out with their yearly Global Liveability Ranking and Lagos, Nigeria comes in as the fourth (4th) worst city to live in, scoring a very low 39.0 out of 100. The EIU surveyed all cities across the world and awarded scores based on its stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure. As you can see, it’s not such a far fetched result as you think of the state of Nigeria in general. The report stated this about Lagos“Rapid growth is not always a good thing because Lagos is now a magnet for two perpetual threats to peace: pirates and Islamist warriors. Boko Haram have a problem with cities like Lagos and also lots of weaponry. Pirates threaten trade and use kidnapping as a method of funding. Islamist terrorist groups such as Boko Haram (“Education is forbidden”) want to create their own version of heaven on earth by destroying cities such as Lagos and imposing strict sharia law.
