With free time to explore the delightful centre, including Christmas Markets, an impressive cathedral, and Piazza Duomo, a pleasant square ringed by arcades, shops and cafes. Bolzano Relax in the town, enjoy the markets and take in the culture of this magical town. Itinerary: Day 1 to 2: UK to Arco We start our journey as we head to Dover for our ferry crossing to Calais. On arrival settle down as we travel through the night arriving into Italy and the resort of Arco the following day. Day 3: Merano & Trento Christmas Markets We head to the medieval fairy tale town of Merano with its castles, churches and narrow alleyways before continuing to the lovely town of Trento, overshadowed by Monte Bondone and encircled by mountains. With free time to explore the delightful centre, including an impressive cathedral, and Piazza Duomo, a pleasant square ringed by arcades, shops and cafes. Day 4: Lake Garda Around Italys largest lake where along the shores youll find delightful little towns with cobbled streets and pretty pastle houses. Day 5: Bolzano A visit to the attractive town of Bolzano, relax in the town, enjoy the markets and maybe take in the culture of this magical town. Day 6 to 7: Arco to UK Sadly we say farewell to Arco as we retrace our steps travelling through the night, arriving into Calais for our return ferry back to Dover. From here we continue home.
