Lake Havasu City Fire Department Kicks Off “Operation VIP” The Lake Havasu City Fire Department is introducing a new program designed to provide opportunities for interested persons, seeking interaction with the fire department, in order to provide community service on a voluntary basis. Are you or someone you know looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community and desire to become a useful asset to the fire department? Volunteer Fire Safety Inspectors are needed for Operation VIP. Trained safety inspectors will assist Fire Prevention Officers in the fields of fire prevention and public education to contribute to the community’s overall safety by recognizing and eliminating fire hazards, evaluating life safety systems, assisting with public education programs and participating in fire prevention activities. Interested persons are invited to attend the Volunteer Fair being held Saturday, January 10, 2015, from 8:30am – 11:00am in the Police Facility meeting room located at 2360 McCulloch Boulevard North. For more information, please contact Brian Springer, Operation VIP Coordinator at (928) 854-0760.
