Lakers Practice & Injury Report ▪️Via @lakers: During the second quarter of Wednesday’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, Nick Young came off a screen and slipped, banging his right knee on the floor in the process. Young, who is listed as having “right knee soreness,” saw a doctor and took x-rays on Thursday. Young expects to play in Friday’s contest against the Orlando Magic, but head coach Byron Scott has concerns regarding whether he will be limited. “We’ll see how he feels tomorrow, but (head athletic trainer) Gary (Vitti) tends to believe that he’ll be able to play,” Scott said. “But I don’t know how effective he’ll be. Hopefully the swelling goes down a little bit tonight and tomorrow he’s a little bit more mobile.” Price Ready for Return After missing Wednesday’s game due to a broken nose and flulike symptoms, Ronnie Price says he “absolutely” expects to play on Friday. The point guard claims his illness is much better now and that his fever was the worst part. Price will wear a mask to protect his nose during the game. The 10-year veteran previously fractured his nose while playing for Utah in 2007, but he did not have to wear a mask then. “It’s not very comfortable from a point guard’s standpoint where you got this thing sitting right here on your face,” Price said. “I gotta get used to it, so I kept going through the whole practice trying to get used to it.” Johnson Questionable Wesley Johnson, who has missed the Lakers’ last two games due to a strained right hip flexor, is listed as questionable for Friday. Johnson’s status will be updated after he is reevaluated at Friday morning’s shootaround. ------------------------------- #teamlakers #lakers #lakeshow #lakergang #lakernation #lakersnation #followme #losangeleslakers #accesssportsnet #purpleandgold #lakersforever #nba #mambaarmy #countonkobe #bleedpurpleandgold #kobe #lakersworld16 #ballislife #blackmamba @twcsportsnet @miketrudell @coachdavemiller #lakersworld #kobebryant
