Lamar: I dont understand suicide. Jim Bennet: Well thats because youre happy. This was from the movie, The Gambler and it really spoke to me. I used to never understand suicide either until I hit some hard spots in my life. In 2014 I came out of a relationship that Ive been in for 2 years, lost multiple jobs, managed to get myself into thousands of dollars in debt, had some military related issues & lost my best friend. Ive never attempted suicide and never will but I can see how one would feel like that is the only way out. The world can really tear you down mentally and emotionally & its easy to get lost in the chaos, but you gotta remember that every storm passes with time. Nothing lasts forever. Today could be the worst day of your life but you never know what tomorrow has in store for you. Tomorrow could change your life for the better forever. So to anyone contemplating suicide, give life a chance... A chance to get better. Suicide doesnt end the chances of life getting worse. Suicide eliminates the possibility of it ever getting better.
