Lance made his way to the Pokemon lab in Sandgem town. He heard about Mega stones and thought it might make Absol stronger if he got one. He brought his full team of Pokemon, just in case he needed to fight his way out, and some items to make the job easier. He walked to the back of the lab and used a glass cutter to cut a hole in the window and he quickly jumped in through the hole, he noticed nobody was in the back of the lab which made things alot easier, he walked to the door and opened it a crack. He noticed a couple of scientists and the professor, walking around, also noticing the Absolite and Keystone on a pedestal in the lab. He took 2 smoke balls from his bag and tossed them into the lab to distract the professor and his scientists. Lance quickly made his way into the room, he was used to the smoke by now so he could see and breathe through it fine, he made his way to the pedestal and snatched the stones, putting them in his bag, before the smoke could clear, he already made it to the back door and through the broken window, without being seen.
