Land for New Masjid in Albion When the house of Allah is established, and its doors are opened to faithful worshipers It is an oasis of faith which opens its arms for the true faithful. It is without doubt a safe and secure refuge for the wandering lost in order to return to the Lord of the Worlds to be successful. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam, this is an appeal for the Construction of a Masjid in the Albion Area. The proposed Masjid will cater for worshipers as well as a children’s Madrassa. Islamic Courses are currently being organised for the benefit of our sisters and children in a house nearby. The said courses will Insha’Allah be imparted in the Masjid itself after its construction. The nearest Masjid is 7KM away (Bambous Area) and this poses a problem for Jummah and daily prayers. Some brothers from the Al-Fitrah Muslim Society (Regd. No. 11357) have taken the noble initiative to purchase the a plot of land. The said land that has been carefully chosen is of an extent of 575 m2 (Phase I). And the Masjid intended to be built thereon (Phase II) will Insha’Allah accommodate 100 faithful when it is completed. The agreed purchase price for the land is Rs.2,100,000. (See annexed agreement) A first payment of Rs.200,000 was made to the owner of the land on the 5th October 2012. Since then, Muslim brothers from various social backgrounds have generously contributed to raising funds with a view to settle the balance outstanding. A further deposit of Rs.450,000 was made in February this year. Allah has helped the brothers through their efforts to raise again a further Rs.450,000. The remaining balance to date for the purchase of the land is: Rs.1,000,000. The above mentioned balance has to be paid to the Owner at the end of June 2013 and unfortunately no further deadlines will be given. It has become a priority to find the remaining sum of money so that the brothers can meet their commitments towards the Owner of the land. The Presence of a Masjid is vital for the 30 or so Muslim Families living in the Area. Since these few brothers started this noble effort, there have been some locals who have reverted to Islam hence the ever more pressing need to establish a House of Allah in the area. Your generous contribution is kindly requested !!! The successful one is the one who Allah has chosen for him or her to serve, respect and build or support mosques. That is the true faithful. Allah says: {The mosques of Allah shall be visited and maintained by such who believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity, and fear none (at all) except Allah.
