Lapeirousia schimperi? This is another pair of photographs from Penny English in the Save Conservancy (which is in the Southern division of Zimbabwe as defined in Flora Zambesiaca). On the face of it this looks to me to be an excellent match with L. schimperi. We have pictures from Zimbabwe and Zambia on this page: zimbabweflora.co.zw/speciesdata/utilities/utility-display-living-images-by-genus.php?genus_id=391 The difficulty is that it has not been recorded from the southern division. So, has Penny extended the range of this species dramatically or is it something else. There are 2 other species of Lapeirouisa from the south, bainesii and masukuensis. I dont know either but from the descriptions, neither seems right. Any thoughts?
