The Iraqi government, which is under the control of Shiite religious groups and has close ties to Tehran, labels the Iranian movement as a “terrorist group.” Among the guest speakers were former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and American politician Patrick Kennedy. Also included was the former President of the German Federal Parliament Rita Süssmuth.
