Larry got a call today from an IRS agent that threatened him with 6 months in jail if he did not pay $1800.00. That there had been an error on our 2011 taxes. And if we did not pay right then he would be arrested and sent to jail for 6 months. He hung up and then someone called back with the ID number as 911 emergency, saying they were the federal marshalls and that they were coming to arrest him. We are intelligent people and usually catch something like this, but this seemed so real. I had seen something a couple months back regarding a scam. I called the IRS hotline and they confirmed that it was indeed a scam, but still knowing this it seemed so real and very unsettling. Just putting it out there for anyone else that might get these evil people calling them... it is a 301 phone number.
