Larrys Rant: Some Advice Before Buying A Filter Queen Vacuum The vacuum itself uses a cyclonic system similar to the modern upright Windtunnel, only instead of using a dirt cannister or bag to trap dirt, it uses a chamber where dirt is filtered by a paper cone and a round charcoal filter, thus returning clean air to the atmosphere. Sounds good in theory except the cones can not be purchased at local stores you are forced to purchase from supplier in BC, and just try to cancel contract. Wow! expensive ($70/month for vacuum and a couple of Defenders) and need to be replaced every 3-4 weeks or the Life time warranty is void. Locked in for another year. Filter Queen anyone?
