Lassie and me......My ex farmers daughter girlfriend had a bunch of Collies.... down on her farm big dawgs.......I loved em all....but it wuz Lassie and me.........First held her whin she wuz a day old.....Reckon I fell in love with her......Taught her how to sit....lay down..roll over and play dead.......My ex farmers daughter girlfriend wuz and I guess still iz a Democrat.......Reckon I am a Republican or Independent or watever.......I would say to Lassie......Would ye rather be a Democrat...or a dead dawg?....Lassie would fall down ...and play dead till I tolt her to git up......Made my girlfriend mad......fer her dawgs minded me better that they did her.......They camped with me many times....but it wuz Lassie and me.........I would tell her favorite dawgs to go love Momma...and they would walk straight to her and sit down.......Them dawgs went everwhere with me whin I worked on her farm....But it wuz Lassie and me..........One day my girlfriend came home and her dawgs all ran to greet her comin up the lane....All of em but one....fer Lassie wuz sittin in a cheer ...with me.........My girlfriend got out and petted her dawgs......looked at me and Lassie and said...A man and hiz dawg!.......Evertime I went down there......Lassie would go bananas whin she seed my truck...still got scratches whur she would jump up on my door...couldnt wait fer me to git out and pet her.........Fer it wuz always.....Lassie and me.......Lassie iz gone...and I aint welcome down there no more...........But I will never fergit the good times.....Back whin it wuz.........Lassie and Me....
