Last Friday Rich was working cattle and was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The young bulls were chasing the older bull, and Mikey (the 2000 lb bull) came around the corner of the barn and ran right smack into Rich. Somehow Rich had the sense to quickly turn and take the brunt of it to his side rather than front, otherwise he may have had some organ damage. Hes bruised badly and has a swollen hip that is retaining fluid - no work for a few weeks. Hes not even mad at the bull! Just a reminder to you farmers and cattlemen out there to be safe and never let your guard down. And on a side note - Im sick and tired of being nurse-maid!
