Last March, we sent out packets of information to all the morning news shows asking them to help raise awareness for National Child Abuse Prevention Month... never heard back from anyone. This March, the Today Show gave Dottie Sandusky prime air time to continue the cycle of abuse by spouting how she believes her husband is innocent despite all the people - victimized and not - who had the courage to testify, and corroborate the claims of these poor boys. She says... “I have known Jerry for 38 years,” she said. “We’ve always been truthful with each other, and he is not guilty of these horrific crimes that he has been charged with. “He would have admitted to this if he had done what they said they think he’s done.” Last month, The Today Show gave Woody Allens attorney prime time to slam Dylan Farrow without any defense of Dylan. Again, we have major media outlets choosing attention-grabbing interviews with those solely interested in protecting abusers and denying reality - that further blame & shame survivors and even worse - deny their viewers a chance to fully understand the issues and how we can PREVENT abuse.
