Last Reminder: MNA Members! Do you like SEEK? Do you like the MN State Fair? Would you like to be the first to help promote a BRAND NEW Nature Play area at the Eco Experience? MNA has an opportunity for you! The Minnesota State Fair, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, Fireflies Play Environments and Aloha Landscaping are excited to be adding a new feature at the 2014 Eco Experience titled “Nature Adventure Play”. This new space is targeted at children and families and will be located just outside the main door (south entrance) of the Eco Experience building. Featuring several play spaces that will demonstrate simple, nature-based adventure ideas that families can replicate at home, we hope to provide a fun and educational space for kids and families while visiting the 2014 Minnesota State Fair, August 21-September 1. MNA would like to help support this effort by recruiting 3 or more members to volunteer and help staff the space on Monday, August 25 as a designated “play workers”, working a 6 hour shift (shifts run from 9 am – 3 pm, noon – 6 pm, 3 pm – 9 pm). All youd need to do is be willing to monitor the play space for the safety of participants and contents, and educate visitors about opportunities and ideas on how to implement nature adventure play at home and additional places for children and families to play outside, including information about MNA or about the place you work. Also: FREE STUFF! Volunteers will receive a free State Fair one-day pass and Eco Experience t-shirt (unless you choose to wear a shirt representing your organization), and the opportunity to distribute a flyer about your organization while on site. An opportunity to see the space and receive more training on serving as a play worker will be provided shortly before the State Fair for those that are able to attend. Interested?
