Last Wednesday I purchased an advance parking ticket for the car - TopicsExpress

Last Wednesday I purchased an advance parking ticket for the car park next to the main railway station of the city I reside in. This was so that I could a) run a few errands on Saturday morning prior to travelling, and b) so that I could drive home from the station on Sunday night as I was arriving back quite late. Upon arrival at the station car park, I pressed a button (it was green and made of plastic) and received a white ticket. A yellow and black barrier then opened and allowed me to enter the car park and park in one of the bays. The station was a short walk from the car park. Upon departure, I had to go to a customer service office and show them my reference number (as I had booked the parking space in advance). Once Id done this, I was given a new ticket. Departing the car park was quite similar to arriving apart from 3 things: 1) I was driving in the opposite direction, 2) I had to put a white ticket into a machine in order for the yellow and black striped barrier to open thus allowing me to leave, and 3) There was no green plastic button to press.
