Last day of the year! 2014 was a crazy one to say the least. I spent all of January getting ready for my fight February 1st. It was a tough fight against an undefeated opponent who cut my face all up. I submitted him in the 2nd round to win the GE Fights Indiana state lightweight title. After the fight Tony Greene my son Kato and myself all took an epic road trip to Texas and got fat. I moved down in weight and fought for the GE Featherweight title in April. I won by rear naked choke winning my 2nd amateur MMA title. Travis Browne from the UFC put the belt around my waist. Which was pretty awesome. A few weeks later I found out that we were going to be expecting another baby. The summer was spent enjoying my beautiful family until it became time to prepare for my next bout. I had to cancel the fight due to an injury I sustained training. I separated my shoulder and was out of the gym for about 6 weeks. My team mate took my spot and got it done in my place. Halloween was fun Kato had a blast. November 15th I tried out and made team Indiana for the Elite Amateur Fight League an organization that pits the top amateur MMA fighters in the country against each other in a state vs state tournament that will be televised in 2015. December 9th we welcomed baby Ember to the world. Had a great Christmas with the new addition to the family. Which brings us to where we are now. December 31st; the last day of the year. After 2 MMA titles, a separated shoulder, making team Indiana, and the birth of our daughter; Id say although 2014 had its ups and downs, it was more positive and I lay this year to rest with the satisfaction of knowing I did my best. I look toward the future with nothing but hope and high expectations. GET READY 2015 IM GONNA WHOOP YOUR ASS!
