Last day of work today. Leave starts tomorrow. Colonoscopy on Thursday followed by surgery on Friday. Anxiety is finally getting to me. Scared? Absolutely. There are others out there facing dire medical issues that I cannot begin to comprehend. My issue and surgery pales by comparison. I am thankful for my overall health and look forward to getting past this minor hurdle. So I guess the only thing I can do is write about it and take solace in knowing that I have a great group of family and friends, an awesome surgeon, a great hospital (USMD), the most understanding and supportive colleagues and employees, and an absolute jewel of a wife (who will not, even for a second, allow me to milk this!).
