Last letter off to Frackin FERC. Guessing well see if this turns - TopicsExpress

Last letter off to Frackin FERC. Guessing well see if this turns into a game of bloody knuckles after they digest! My Name Is David Jones, and I stand in opposition of the Atlantic Sunrise Pipeline Proposal. In the past few weeks I have had the privilege to work with local historians, professors of anthropology, Chris Bergman principal archaeologist of URS corporation employed by Williams, and many concerned affected land owners. We recently followed the path of the 2nd pipeline route proposal through Conestoga township, and uncovered a wealth of unknown undocumented until this time historical knowledge. Many affected land owners came forward with private Native American collections discovered on their properties ranging from middle woodland 7500 B.C. to the original colonial settlements of the very early 18th century. The exact area at the split between the first, and second pipeline proposals is an area of extremely high historical importance alone. This location has been historically documented as Conestoga Town. The last settlement village of the Susquehannock/Conestoga Indian Nation. Many artifacts through the entire time period previously mentioned have been found on this stated historically registered site. It was well voiced by the public at the recent Millersville PA FERC open house that many Indian burials rest under the earth throughout this proposed route. I cannot stress how truly serious this is! In our research we have also discovered an undocumented, unmarked Colonial burial site directly in the path of the proposed pipeline only known of by the landowners. So much history lies beneath our precious soil locally that yet needs to be properly researched, documented, and not destroyed via pipeline construction. The impact of our findings was very evident in their reactions during our presentation with Chris Bergman of URS, Anne Allen the Williams Environmental Specialist, and the project engineer. I sincerely hope Anne Allen and Chris Bergman provide you with the highly important documentation from our two week study. We have had further discoveries post meeting, and will continue to forward this documentation to all affected parties as we investigate the impact. The project engineer made a personal statement after our meeting that there was no way to properly cross the Susquehanna fertile crescent (Columbia Boro following the Susquehanna south to the Maryland line) properly. We are in the process of registering seven locations directly in the path of this proposal with the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC). This is the heart of our local and American true history! It deserves to be studied properly! Please keep that in mind when you weigh the detrimental impact this proposal carries. Thank you for your sincere attention. David Jones, Lancaster Pa
