Last night, Charlie and I had a lounge room sleepover. Boy asked me if we could stay up all night. We shared dinner, watched some episodes, wrestled, played, talked, cuddled, laughed and completely geeked out together. It was so, so awesome! The little cracker made it til 11pm and fell asleep peacefully on the waves of the rise-and-fall of my chest. This morning when he woke, I could see him bump into consciousness and awareness. When he realised we were waking together in the lounge room after our night, he smiled and his first words were, Youre the best dad in the whole Universe, the planets and sub continents. It was a pretty special way to begin this new day.
