Last night I called my friend Dave for the first time. We had only talked here on Facebook before last night. It was wonderful, fantastic, awesome, etc! :) When I first meet or talk with someone I can tend to be a little shy at first. (I know, that sounds odd, but its true, I still get nervous when meeting or talking with someone for the first time.) But last night, it was almost like talking with a friend Ive known for years. We just hit it off right from the start. It made me realize,again, that although I do complain often about the Internet and Social Media, it has some very positive attributes as well, and for me one of the best is meeting new people and making friends. And yes, my personality in real life is pretty much the same as it is Online. No need for me to fake it. That was a huge problem for me long ago, and a trap I dont want to fall back into. Trying to impress others by being someone Im not and all that. :) So, Im pretty happy.
