Last night I completed the #icebucketchallenge to raise awareness for ALS. I have challenged David Buttomer Matt Francis Gary Jr. Dalton....I know these guys wont disappoint. I have also made a donation :) For those who are writing negative posts about this challenge, I just want to say a few things. As a person who has spent a lot of time raising money and awareness for breast cancer and sitting on the board of a small non profit, Vital Impact, I know first hand how challenging it can be to get people excited and engaged about raising money and supporting a great cause. As a child I remember one of my mothers close friends losing her husband to ALS. I remember how painful this was for those close to him and I havent heard much about ALS since. So that being said, I want to help raise awareness and money in any way possible (even if it includes icy cold water).
