Last night, I covered a story on the rally for legalizing hemp and medicinal marijuana and there were some very intelligent speakers that made great points. A movement is happening folks and its just a matter of time before we eliminate prohibition of these harmless things which only benefit society in so many ways. Live music was provided by the talented Wendy Lee Oakley and her Posse Band. They rocked it out (and will also be playing this Sunday at the Michael Tiernan benefit featuring many killer bands). That is at the 20th Century Theatre from 3-10. After the rally, I went to the Mansion Hill Tavern to gather with friends in the blues community and rocked out in honor of our friend, the late great Larry Malott. Got to see wonderful people such as Michael Chapman, Thomas Callahan, Destinee Smelcer, Pat Macqueen, Mike Boland, Willy D Denison, Dallas Moore, Roger Bates, and so many more. It was worth the 5 hours of sleep that I got last night. Right now Im going through the 19,000 hours + of video archives and locating things that I shot of Larry throughout the years with his band Them Bones. I think that doing a mini documentary on him is the best thing that I can do to honor his life.
