Last night I had a 2 1/2 hour cram session for a test this morning - TopicsExpress

Last night I had a 2 1/2 hour cram session for a test this morning on World Religions (which has been the most interesting and enjoyable test to study for!). Perhaps I crammed a bit too much - by the end I was agonizing even more than I was when I started and feeling like I should just cancel the whole thing for a day or two. Wanting to get my mind off World Relgions so I could fall asleep, I decided to read Psalm 16 (the Psalm of the day). The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply; their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out or take their names on my lips. The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; You hold my lot... I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.... - Psalm 16:4-5, 7 How wondrously true! How sad the many relgions our world searches after, trying to find purpose and peace. As long as people continue to follow the Eightfold Path to be free from suffering, make the pilgrimage to Mecca to kiss the Black Stone, worship the unseen spirits of ancestors, seek equal balance with nature and continue to deny the Messiah has come, they will never be able to echo Davids words, Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure. (vs9) As I drove along the interstate viewing the beautiful collage of color in the trees, I am grateful I know precisely Who changed the color of those trees and Who enables me to be glad, rejoice and dwell securely.
