Last night, I had the huge privilege to listen to Corrinne May sing live at the 19th Compass Annual Awards. As she sang, I was just so struck by the purity of her spirit and the care she has undeniably showered on her soul and craft. I believe that such beauty emerges from years of being broken, refined and steadfastly walking towards her true loves, with our Heavenly Father being her greatest LOVE. When she sang, my soul was awakened and suddenly... I understood what Kung Fu Panda standing in the presence of Master Oogway would feel. Heres the song she sang below. The live performance was of her on the piano, accompanied by a violinist and it was better than the studio recording (which is already super awesome !) -- for the reason that its always nicer to bask in the aura of a great performer face to face.
