Last night I had the opportunity of doing two things on TV. First, I produced a story from Daboya, a town in the Northern Region which has almost been cut off from the rest of the country by the white Volta. All they need is a bridge, in the absence of which tens of people continue to drown as they attempt to cross over via old, rickety, worn-out canoes, manned mostly by nonprofessionals, bringing pain and suffering to many families. Secondly, I hosted a political Talk show. We went on about who should step down from the NPP congress and bla bla bla...... I had 70 people sending messages to my inbox sharing their opinions on the NPP congress and matters arising. Sadly, however, just one person - one Kwame Kwarteng - ( who clearly is not even a native of Daboya was interested in the killer at Daboya and wanted to know how he could use his organisation to fight for the construction of a bridge for the people. I am still struggling to understand what our priorities are......
