Last night, I had the pleasure of attending a performance of Tango - TopicsExpress

Last night, I had the pleasure of attending a performance of Tango Buenos Aires at McCallum Theater in Palm Desert (near Palm Springs). It is a very nice venue - not so huge - every seat is quite close to the stage with an excellent view, and it has a friendly, inviting vibe. As one who cannot, or at least doesn’t dance, I am always amazed at how people can move so gracefully, expressively, and with such discipline. The five musicians, also on stage, surpassed their note-quota in no time - they played constantly throughout the evening, and everything was up-tempo. I have never been to Argentina, of course, but after last night, I felt as though I had just spent two hours in a Buenos Aires club during the 40s or 50s - minus all of the cigarette and cigar smoke (thank goodness!). This morning, I am going to go to the gym, then take a walk. The gym is great, but I also love the outdoors with actual sunlight and fresh air. Then come home, practice, take care of some things, and do a little teaching this afternoon. This evening, I am thinking of making a shrimp pasta salad with dill and cucumber, and maybe watch Fantasia on Netflix. Or, go see a movie - there are several out now that I’d like to catch. Any you might recommend?
