Last night I spent several hours in the most severe pain of my life. My family and a dear friend gathered around me and held my hand as medical personnel tried desperately to find something, anything, that would make me better. It was awful for everyone. I tried not to scream, but there was a lot of sobbing. They gave me something that finally helped me doze off, but when I woke up, my bed was filled with blood and the floor was coated in it. There is a chance that I would have bled to death if I hadnt asked for a family member to be with me at all times. Maybe intuition is occasionally right.
