Last night I was asked to preach at a Church of God in Christ convention in Macon , Ga. I asked Aaron and Margerrett Penton, Chrystal and Tyrus McDowell , and one of our school of ministry students to go with me to sing. We had a great time and the were fantastic! Lives were changed but we had such a fun time being together and laughing . We had dinner before we went to church and it was full of laughter. In the book of Acts the church was built through evangelism, prayer , the preaching of the word and breaking bread from house to house. So many times we forget how important fellowship is to us and each other . Relationships can Carry you thru storms and difficulties . Relationships can encourage our faith when it is weak, they can stand with is in a battle. The key is to have Christian relationships that you can talk about the things of God with. That is why the local church is important and vital. Why not ask someone to dinner or take a little more time in church to fellowship before or after a service so you can meet some new people? You will be glad you did when those relationships bring you encouragement , strength, and comfort as you walk with Christ. Be blessed and remember even Jesus needed friends to be with Him in his Mountain top and His Gethsemene.
