Last night I was at Church and I lit a candle for many people that I know that are struggling and one of my thoughts was for all those people who have PTSD or are in Recovery or support someone who has PTSD. Christmas can be a time of struggle for many of you and I send you peace and love and hope that it can be as good a day as possible. I thank you all for the continued support, openness and encouragement for this Organisation that goes from strength to strength. We continue to do what many do not do and that is to see PTSD as an equal and not just related to the Military and that everyones pain is equal and not just one form and that we get ALL forms of PTSD highlighted in the Press. Every person that Volunteers has PTSD or is in Recovery and so can show empathy and a great source of pride is hearing people declare for the first time that they have PTSD and why. Its a great source of personal pride that I can listen and empathise with people who have great struggles and I thank you all. Just a note to remember, you are normal people who have been through something terrible and traumatic, you are not killers and weirdos and you are not a Number or a Patient, you are a real and genuine person who should have the love and support that you need in life. Never forget these words or put yourself down or apologise for who you are in life. Take care and Christmas greetings Simon Founder Positive Action for PTSD
