Last night I was fortunate enough to witness something so beautiful and touching, but heartbreaking... Absolutely unconditional love... Like a scene from The Notebook... only The Notebook is nowhere near as compassionate... The secrets of life and death and love and dying and Alzheimers disease.. Im constantly trying to figure them out... One thing is for sure, I am so very thankful to be in the profession I am in... Its not always the most glamorous or the best paying profession... But its always an ongoing learning experience and self rewarding to say the least... I have been touched by so many patients and their families over the years... As stressful and frustrating as it can be sometimes in a world where you have to put just as much focus on documentation as you do patient care to cover yourself... I still could not see myself doing anything else...
