Last night I went to get my hair cut. As I was sitting down, several of the stylists asked me, How are you? ...are you better, everything ok? I told them I was doing great, couldnt be better, I got a new job?... No, no, no, one said. Your mouth? Seems as though, after surgery on my gums last month, I drove straight from the doctors office to SuperCuts. Seems as though, because I now get flashes of that day but not much else. Apparently I was very funny because WE ALL got a good laugh at my expense after I found out what I had done. Which leads me to this: I heard this surgery was terrible, awful, it hurts, you cant eat for months! So I had planned to drop 50 pounds from the 110 that I currently weigh...yes, 110 pounds...my weight is 110 pounds. I was eating that night. Very little pain. Any swelling I had was gone the next day. No downtime. No black eyes, NOTHING! NOTHING that I could get any sympathy for. Nothing that I could get one of my friends to come over and apply a cold compress to my forehead. NOTHING! I can not begin to express my disappointment with Dr. David H. Wong I had plans to shop at Victorias Secret but instead, Im right back to the white, cotton tent section at Wal-Mart. A gum graft protects your teeth from the damaging effects of gum recession. Coming from Altus, we were taught to scrub so I know there are a bunch of you other there. Mine was so bad, my dentist told me that she would not work on me anymore because without this surgery, I was going to lose my teeth. You can also have a gum graft to improve the appearance of your smile. Ever head the term, Long in the Tooth? This is how you get it corrected. So, if you or anyone you know is about to have this done, your time and money will be wisely spent by driving to Tulsa and making an appointment with Dr. Wong. But dont expect any weight loss. Nothing where you can get some major pity. Youre still going to be buying those big ole pants with an elastic waist because Dr. Wong is just that good. ..but he aint no Jenny Craig. So with that in mind, I would like to dedicate this song to my way of brushing my teeth. Its a Hard Habit to Break.
