Last night I went to see the awesome world famous Wellington show that is World of WearableArt (WOW). Tonight I got to head backstage and teach yoga to the performers. I was a bit intimidated, knowing that theyre all crazy dancers or acrobats to begin with (Especially considering there was a girl who did this act in the show! youtube/watch?v=pLWv6HrnPEA). Also, theyve been living out of hotels with a nonstop routine for the past 3 weeks, so suffice to say, they werent exactly on the edge-of-their-seat about a short yoga class before the show...but either way, I wanted to make sure I threw down a good class...and yeah, it went really well!! I threw in lots of asymmetric postures to challenge them in unique ways, but their favorite part was all the juicy self-massage that Ive been incorporating recently. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders have a new challenger for my favorite organized group to teach!
