Last night, Kennedy and I camped in the back yard. The forecast called for lows of 45 degrees so we got lots of blankets to put above and below our sleeping bag. The temperature dropped to 32 degrees, but Kennedy stayed warm all night. At one point, in the early morning, I decided to bring her inside. As soon as I put her down inside, she woke up and asked, Can we go outside and camp a little bit? Yes, this girl is mine! We are going to have the best summer ever, and Im looking forward to all the memories were going to make at Mt. Rainier and at the Washington coast, just like all the memories my family and I made when I was a kid.
