Last night and even this morning I received many inbox msgs asking me what I think will happen to the ICC suspects. I told some that even the President of the ICC and the judges are also challenged by the twin facts that though the suspects are delt with as individuals Kenya elected them as president and deputy. The ICC president is on the record saying that. You cant wish it away. The ICC is not an ordinary criminal court which only cares about the courtroom events. The ICC minds very much about the peoples feelings. I have been to that court and I can tell you their desire to impress the masses with their work is very big. Everything said about ICC in the member states gets to the judges instantly including our local newspapers. That is why they even hold public events to reach out to the masses. They for example wanted to set up big screens in Eldoret so that the masses could follow the trial because they would like the people to judge their work. They know the world is watching the unique Kenyan cases and a slight mistake could see the entire Africa and other nations pull out. So be assured that if the presence if UK and Ruto in The Hague together becomes a big issue, those judges will sort it out faster than you think.
