Last night i stopped by the local Rural King to pick up some horse feed....I looked down and found a roll of money laying in the aisle. I scooped it up and put it in my pocket....I hung around the area a bit to see if someone retraced their steps and appeared distressed...no one came around. I made my purchase and left. When I got to my car I pulled the money out of my pocket and it was a substantial amount. Its sad we live in a world we cant trust but my fear was giving it to the store clerk and it not finding the rightful owner. I slept on it. In the morning, I called the store manager and shared my name and number...I did not give the amount but told him I found some money. He was unaware of anyone claiming a loss but it did turn out the owner left their name and number.... She called me and was aware of the amount and even knew the breakdown of bills.....no doubt it was her money. I met her and returned the money. Turns out it was her paycheck and the night before she was unable to buy her horse feed since she lost the money. She is a twenty something young lady and was very appreciative of my effort....said, There are good people in this world. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Be a good people!!!
