Last night my hometown mifflin county weighed heavy on my heart! Mifflin county is a very small country town nestled in the mountains. A 6 alarm fire broke out and wiped out 25 homes last I checked! As I understand the fire started back up again a few hours ago! So many families displaced! The community as a whole is stepping up to the plate like no other! However, in this small town their are fire fighters that volunteer their lives on a daily basis FOR FREE! they have full time jobs to take care of their families and they step out to help a community in their worst times for FREE!! while its fresh in every persons mind ITS TIME FOR MIFFLIN COUNTY TO STEP UP AND SECURE FULL TIME PAID POSITIONS TO THESE MEN AND WOMEN! These men and women do the unthinkable for each and everyone of us! I remember hanging out at the firehouse with my friends back in the day, I had no idea at the time I.was hanging out with TRUE HEROES! lets face it if they lived in chicago they would be getting paid $100,000 a year! FIREFIGHTING IS A CAREER, AND IT TAKES A VERY SPECIAL SOUL TO RISK THEIR LIVES FOR US! I know most of them their would never ask for anything because FIREFIGHTING is part of their soul... they shouldnt have to ask IT SHOULD JUST BE DONE! As an employer many companies would fight and pay TOP DOLLAR to have such dedicated people! So for all of u that read this RISE UP AND STAND UP AND DEMAND CHANGES! when u get infront of the decision makers a simple question should be answered by them... WOULD U DO UR CAREER FOR FREE? STOP ASKING THESE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN TO DO THAT! SO TO EVERYONE OF MY FIREFIGHTING FRIENDS... THANK YOU FOR ALL U DO! DO!
