Last night the City of Vincent in Perth approved a $2.5 million bike network plan. Thats great news and should be applauded... yet it wont be remembered by next week thanks to the responses by two local businessmen. We saw a brawl in council chambers. The disgusting behaviour of those two individuals, they should be ashamed of themselves, said local resident Martin. WA Police confirmed they were called to the premises and formally asked two people to leave. Its a negative aspect to what should have otherwise been a positive story (the bike plan, not the unruly behaviour). Bicycle Transport Alliance were in attendance, representing the regions bike riders and rightly should receive kudos for the work they are doing in WA, against apparently some quite vocal and physical opposition. abc.net.au/news/2014-07-23/police-called-to-council-meeting-after-bike-plan-approved/5617488
