Last night, the Leadership Seminar students hosted the 6th Annual MiniTHON at IHS. Each year, I think It cant possibly get any better than this! but then...it does! I believe now, that each year, the students who attend watch and learn from those who host and the next year they build on what those who come before them have created. It only gets better each time! I would like to thank so many people: ALL of those students who were involved in the first 5 MiniTHONs, and YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!!, all of the fantastic, supportive community members who sponsored the event in word and deed, the school district and its employees, especially my colleagues who graciously chaperoned the event from 6-Midnight, ALL of the students who attended the event and stood For The Kids, but ESPECIALLY this years Leadership Seminar students. These kids have worked for months to prepare a night for kids to play, laugh, compete, eat free, listen to music, perform, and most importantly, remember to ALWAYS Stand FOR THE KIDS!! Last night, they raised $9382.88. It was a record breaker! I am so proud and humbled to work with such amazing students!!
