Last night was a completely different environment in Ferguson. I - TopicsExpress

Last night was a completely different environment in Ferguson. I had many insightful conversations with local residence. They want peace and non-violence just as much as everyone else. I shook hands with Captain Ron Johnson of the Missouri Highway Patrol, the officer now in charge of security and public safety. The community seems to truly respect and trust him. Also I was able to speak with St. Louis Alderman Antonio French, who has been on the front lines during the entirety of this event and has provided the best real time information via social media as these events have transpired. I hope the release of information today does not alter the mindsets of the protesters. Thanks to everyone who has continued to support me throughout my documentation of these events. Though many have expressed concern for my safety, I am happy to report that I had no negative encounters with protesters or police. While talking to members of the media, we came to the conclusion that most of them where more concerned with being arrested or assaulted by the police more so than being confronted or assaulted by the protesters. I have shot over 3,000 photos so far an I plan on putting them together into a photo essay and have them printed in a magazine/book format. Feel free to share these photos.
