Last night when the nurse weighed Jozlyn she said the last documented weight was only 59 pounds in the system. We had no idea that she had lost that much weight. We knew she had gotten down to 60 but not 59. She is still 61 pounds today. They will deaccess her port today to change the needle and clean the area, at that time I will give her a shower as she has not had one since she was admitted. We have wiped her down but her hair definitely needs to be washed as she looks like a troll today...lol!! After her shower they will reaccess her port to continue to give her antibiotics and steroids for another week. We cannot wait to get out of the hospital but know that without the antibiotic her lung infection can come back even worse and it was already severe to begin with.
