Last nights little movie showing you how I start a drawing began when I lifted the H pencil (the second-lightest grade I move to). I already had done very quick, loose guidelines in a 4H pencil. A couple of people said they would like to have seen it from the very beginning. Its not easy as I have to hold my mobile with my left hand while drawing with my right, and I have to peer around the phone to see the paper too (as I have to hold the camera phone fairly close to the paper). However, I tried just now so heres the partner sketch from blank - this is only the first loose 4H pencil lines going down. As you can see (or cant - its very pale!), its just the same way as I use the H pencil, but possibly looser – the H pencil refines (as you saw in yesterdays video). Nothing much to see in this video but it shows you how I start! Sorry the camera slipped off to the side at the end – oops! :)
