Last nights premiere at Dorchesters Corn Exchange saw a full house and buzzing. The show went off well. Most common comments powerful, truthful, it made me cry and that I find very satisfying. do me! Great reaction from the audience. Over one third stayed for the Q & A which was very illuminating as the questions were interestingly a mix of writing, acting and political/social. Although being asked if I would join up was a bit disorientating - I said NO! I know people were going out discussing the issues we had at the heart of Stephanie Dales play. Which is job done. The two AUB graduate AsOne AsCend interns excelled, one as our central WW1 Tommy, and the other who is DSM training to be our Stage Manager under professional mentor ship. The performances and musicianship from Steve Rollins and our MD composer and performer, Tim Laycock was the best. Exciting, scary, wonderful night ! I feel we honoured the peoples testimony that made their stories powerful, truthful and engaging. Thank you to all who made it possible.
