Last parent teacher conference tonight. God knew what he was doing when he blessed our lives with Alex. We see and experience her joy and love everyday at home but to hear her teacher describe her presence in the classroom I found myself tearing up. God provided Alex with a teacher last year that nurtured her sweet spirit in the classroom and I held my breath and prayed all summer that she would be in a classroom with a teacher that would continue that and not snuff out her passion for learning and loving others. God answered that prayer and she is continuing to flourish. Her teacher said she was glad that Alex was so smart but the thing she is most thankful for is Alexs love and kindness she shows to others. Thats a teacher who knows what is important- blessed beyond belief.
