Last quarter Moon approaching. Sun entering Gemini. Mars is now direct. Mercury Retrograde approaching... A great day for frank moves, bold thoughts, and imaginal thrustings forward. There is a feeling of closure and resolution coming through this week. Now weve said it. Now weve decided. Now weve moved forward. Now we know whats coming. Or whats coming is visible to us now, we can feel it, the scales are finally tipping..that stubborn and inhuman insistence on mental or aesthetic balance is finally being chucked in the river for the sake of a few burning images and thoughts that will compel us onward. The imagination is not half so stuck in principled deliberations. The horse is starting to trot forward again after a long lazy nap in a green field of indecision. If its not happening yet, its half happening and will continue to gain momentum shortly (hang in there!). What is the image of completion we are drawn to right now? What kind of finish line do we see on the horizon of our hearts frontier? This re-cog-nition will take place over the next few days, and then as the moons light dies over the next week we will fall into the dream of our new goals and visions...emerging again in the next moon cycle to put the dream into busy action. But then.... Heres some Don Quixote beauty charging our way. Mercury retrograde is right around the corner! So whatever we think were doing right now, whatever new ideas, goals, motivations, and visions of the future..however forward moving things are starting to feel again...these imaginary windmills will soon be swallowed by other images and we will soon forget where we came from and why, even as weve arrived at the threshold of starting with these new intentions and decisions. Frustrating right?! But this ironic forgetting or confusing is essential so that the love of the soul, our imaginal longings, may ceaselessly reflect upon themselves and hence deliteralize the objects of our (personal) will. For example...in the next few days you might say to yourself, this is where Im going or this is what Im going to do. And you feel like you have a backbone again for the first time in a while because youre making these kinds of plans and statements. Then the Moon cycle swallows the light, because the darkness is growing right now, and by the time the light is emerging again Mercury is retrograde. So your specific intention has been deconstructed but the forward moving energy remains. How maddening, right?! But not really...because we have to learn that mars returning to its direct motion doesnt need to be hijacked by our personal will or personal ego or personal stories and ambitions. This would be to miss the point that the Mars has been making...our will power is not ours. And its return is also not ours. Not solely ours. Mercurys retrograde will therefore inhibit and confuse many of these new intentions if they are too strong or too personally possessive of Mars forward movement. This not mineness of Mars is also an essential part of its continued expression in the sign of Libra. One piece of advice....let your intentions be shaped by communications, conversations, and natural happenings around you in the next few weeks and into the next moon cycle. Air is a strong element right now...which means will and dialogue are working together. So again, let the intentions form naturally as the conversation continues.... Prayer: Though the will is growing, let the dialogue form around me and may the intentions emerge, plural, through this listening and communicating...
