Last thoughts, comments and thanks to individuals regarding Ironman Racine 70.3, I promise (at least until the next one). So on to the thanks, firstly to Debi and the kids, this took a commitment form all of us and without their blessing and support it wouldn’t have been possible. I used two formal coaches to get to this event, the first, Jase Robinson of Crossfit Retaliation looked after my general fitness, well being and diet. The second was Tony Williams of Equipe Flamme Rouge who helped me focus on my cycling, I can fully recommend both of these Gents to anyone looking for performance gains in their chosen sport. Next to call out a couple of groups that in no particular order, teased me, bullied me and encouraged me. Those who train at Crossfit Retaliation, especially the Endurance Crossfit group, also the Monday and Wednesday group rides from Columbus Fitness and Cycling. Final thanks to a few individuals, Trevor Miller for jumping on board and joining me competing at the race, Barbara Geibel Salee and Tina ODell for being the loudest supporting group out on the course bar none. Joe Kahlenbeck, William Stone, Terry Molewyk, Gene Engelking, Betsy Kieffer, Dan Baker and Eric Kelley, for the company and encouragement on the long rides and cycling advice and help. Wendy Welch Scgalski, Dan Shaver, Crystal Campbell, Don Allen and the others who joined us on the early morning lake swims. Final thoughts, its bloody hard, I mean really hard, but it is one of the most satisfying achievements I have completed. Will there be another one, yes, I have to get rid of the swim demons, it won’t be Racine, the road conditions are too poor. To finish this year Debi and I have agreed that the Tipton Sprint Tri is next followed by the Columbus Millrace Half marathon, to close the season out I’m doing the Monumental Marathon in November. I’m sure I have forgotten some of you and I apologise if I have, the support and encouragement has been really special. Until next time………
