Last week, Amazon released a really, really extensive preview of my DA nerdbook via the Look Inside feature. Users were getting basically the entire book, minus a couple of pages here and there -- at least some of them could read all the way to the end, albeit with a few random chunks missing. To me this seems like a very strange way to preview a book, but what do I know. Anyway, some hardcore DA fans discovered this and jumped on it literally within hours of the preview going up (how *do* they do that? Is there like some secret Batsignal I dont know about?), and then there was a flurry of activity where they all went to go look at it, and HALLELUJAH after a weeks time, nobody has picked out any major continuity or lore errors. There are some minor canon disputes (all of which I have very good reasons for!) but the fans already settled those among themselves and nobody is calling for my head yet. This is a major relief. Means Ive passed the first round of Seriously Serious fan scrutiny and we do not, as yet, have a disaster on our hands. Hardcore fans are scary, man. You do not want to get on their bad side.
